25.Kogosho * This is the the Kogosho building, used as a ceremonial hall for celebrating the Coming-of-Age of the Crown Prince as well as on those occasions when the Emperor received the Shogun (military ruler of feudal Japan) and Daimyo (feudal lords). 20.Kogosho.Azumaasobi * In the Kogosho, there is a reproduction of the Azumasoobi dance performance, which was originally the commonalty performance of Eastern Japan. It was then adopted in the Imperial Court in the Heian Period (794-1185).
Later on, you will see photos of real dancers and musicians performing the Azumaasobi, in the Shinmikurumayose stage (where you saw the female dancers mannequins before). * 1944 x 1296 * (755KB)
