The second site I visited in Nara Koen was the Kasuga Taisha shrine, located in the core of the park, south east to the Todai-ji temple.
The path to the shrine is constellated by hundreds of stone lanterns donated by worshippers. There is a lantern festival happening here in spring and august and it must be really charming.
